Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Progress OpenEdge ABL programming within the ERP system.
  • Lead efforts to resolve bugs and provide top-tier production support.
  • Guide and mentor a team of developers to foster collaboration and identify the best solutions for application enhancements.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making to ensure future enhancements align with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Develop and configure integrated business and enterprise application solutions within various computing environments.
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
  • Develop test cases and perform unit and integration testing.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions.
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on industry level specifications and best practices.
  • Recommend and execute improvements.
  • Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and participate in all software development lifecycle phases.
  • Report progress and issues to the Project Leader/Manager on a regular basis and ensure project schedules are met.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a Developer using Progress OpenEdge ABL programming language.
  • Strong proficiency in Progress coding for ERP applications.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor, solving complex problems through research and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to work with individuals and teams across the organization.
  • Able to work individually or in a team setting.
