Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team at Dallas County. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems within our facilities are properly maintained and repaired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address electrical system issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Train and mentor junior electricians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical technology or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, with a focus on quality control and leadership.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and at heights. They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
