Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Short Order Cook to join our team at El Monte Sagrado. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to prepare and cook menu items.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in collaboration with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Requirements
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, push, reach for, and carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and multitasking skills.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
