Position Overview:

As a Senior Staff Engineer in Solutions Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in our Silicon IP division, which focuses on enhancing the capabilities of System on Chips (SoCs) at an accelerated pace. Our extensive portfolio of silicon IP encompasses pre-designed blocks of logic, memory, interfaces, analog components, security features, and embedded processors, all aimed at enabling customers to meet specific performance, power, and size requirements for their applications.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:
  • Join the System Solutions Group, where we are dedicated to developing reliable systems that prioritize safety, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients and industry partners to identify their needs and establish technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the strategy for advanced platform solutions, fostering partnerships across various teams within Synopsys.
  • Utilize your expertise in back-end implementation, focusing on logic synthesis, physical design, timing closure, and verification processes.
  • Engage with internal teams and external clients to ensure robust deployment of functional safety and RAS solutions.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A BSEE or MSEE degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in SoC back-end design.
  • Expertise in EDA tools for implementation, physical verification, and formal verification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the functional safety domain, with knowledge of safety mechanisms applicable to IPs or SoC designs.
  • Familiarity with ISO26262 standards in the automotive sector is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Shell.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is between $157,000 and $235,000, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity. Synopsys offers a comprehensive benefits package, emphasizing health, wellness, and financial security.
