Position Overview

This role involves supporting daily golf operations, including managing the pro shop and outside services. You will oversee non-exempt golf staff, drive revenue and programming initiatives, safeguard assets, and promote the game of golf through lessons and tournament management.

Daily Responsibilities

Train and implement procedures for golf and pro shop attendants, as well as outside services personnel. Develop and assign efficient work schedules to meet the staffing requirements of Golf Operations, Pro Shop, Outside Services, and Club repair business. Recruit and hire staff as needed to ensure exceptional member service. Manage profit and loss for merchandise in the Pro Shop, assist with budgeting, and maintain inventory levels. Implement inventory control and counting procedures to ensure items are consistently stocked. Establish standards for merchandise display, pricing, and promotions to be adhered to by golf shop attendants to encourage sales and fulfill member requests. Maintain effective communication with staff, members, and senior management. In the absence of the Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional, oversee all aspects of the Club's Golf department. Stay informed about and promote all Club activities and services, including the management of tournaments and special events, ensuring successful execution through effective scheduling and staff utilization. Direct and guide staff in accordance with Invited and PGA standards to promote golf clinics, private lessons, and programs for adults, juniors, and seniors. Assist as necessary to ensure member satisfaction and adherence to Club standards. Teaching and providing instruction may also be required.

About You

PGA PGM Associate Program Level 3 or Member. A college degree is preferred; however, a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is acceptable. Experience in customer service and a strong understanding of golf. Demonstrated success in team management, organizational skills, and coaching abilities. Familiarity with tee sheets and inventory management systems.
