Job Title: Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist

Miami Nation Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality training and technical assistance to Tribal early childhood programs.

Job Summary:

The Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist will provide expert consultation to Tribal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantee staff, assisting in the development and implementation of effective CCDF administration and program implementation. This position requires a strong background in early childhood education, child development, and CCDF regulations, as well as excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert consultation to Tribal CCDF grantee staff on CCDF regulations and program implementation.
  2. Develop and provide training and technical assistance to Tribal early childhood programs on CCDF administration and program implementation.
  3. Assist in the research and development of timely responses to Tribal CCDF grantee and Regional Office requests.
  4. Support the planning of training and technical assistance activities, including content development and facilitation.
  5. Facilitate meetings and trainings with Tribal CCDF grantee staff, OCC Regional Office staff, and other TA partners using results-based facilitation and culturally responsive approaches.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or related field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in early childhood services working with children and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
  • 5+ years of experience offering training and technical assistance within early care and education, including strong consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of CCDF regulations and all applicable federal, state, Tribal, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of current child development practices and research-based early childhood quality improvement methods and approaches.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within Federally recognized Tribes and Native communities.
  • Native Language Revitalization and/or dual language program knowledge.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and supporting the social-emotional needs of children.
