Job Summary

XLSpecialized Trailers is seeking a skilled MIG welder to join our team. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling products using hand-held welding and flame-cutting equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts with hand-held welding equipment.
  • Correct welds by chipping or grinding off excess weld, slag, or splatter.
  • Move components using an overhead crane while maintaining safe work habits.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components and conducting a self-inspection.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following operating procedures.
  • Document actions by completing production, quality, and time forms.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of welding experience.
  • Proven ability to weld using a MIG hand-held welder.
  • Basic understanding of Shop Math.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to work overtime as required, including Saturdays.
