Job Summary

The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in the healthcare team at Washington Hospital, providing exceptional patient care and support services. As a key member of the Nutritional Services department, this individual will assist in preparing and transporting meal trays to patients' units and rooms, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Preparation and Service: Assist in preparing and transporting patients' trays, and cleans and sanitizes appropriate dishes and utensils.
  2. Communication and Reporting: Accurately reports information to members of the department team and other members of Washington Hospital.
  3. Technical Skills and Patient Care: Completes and demonstrates competency in all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established Washington Hospital Core Dietary Aide Skills & Responsibilities.
Work Environment and Schedule

This part-time position requires flexibility and adaptability, with rotating daylight and afternoon shifts between 5:30AM-7PM, including 5:30AM-2PM, 6AM-2:30PM, 10:30AM- 7PM, and 3:30PM-7PM. Must be available to work between 5AM-7PM. Rotating holidays and weekends required.
