Position Overview
The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the facility. This role involves the thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient areas, common spaces, and other designated locations in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive cleaning of patient rooms, administrative offices, and waiting areas utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants.
- Ensures floors, furniture, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized following infection control standards.
- Maintains cleanliness of glass surfaces, woodwork, restrooms, and fixtures.
- Oversees the cleanliness of dining areas and tables.
- Performs scrubbing, mopping, and buffing of floors as required.
- Restocks essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper throughout the facility.
- Handles waste disposal in compliance with standard procedures.
- Maintains all cleaning tools and supplies according to safety and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Basic reading and writing skills at the high school level.
- Preferred: One year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with cleaning and disinfectant products.
- Understanding of infection control protocols.
