Overview:
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Service Representative I to contribute to our diagnostic laboratory operations.

Main Responsibilities:

Consistently arrive at work punctually and ready to execute all assigned tasks and processes throughout the entire work schedule.

Carry out all duties and responsibilities as directed by your immediate supervisor, including tasks for which you are fully qualified, as well as those for which you may possess additional qualifications.

Engage collaboratively with your team, maintaining a positive and supportive attitude towards colleagues.

Perform the collection of blood and urine samples utilizing various techniques and equipment. Accurately enter patient information and tests into the Care 360 system. Process all specimen types collected. Gather billing details from patients and ICD-10 information from clients as required. Communicate effectively and courteously with both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Knowledge:
Proficient understanding of venipuncture techniques using vacutainer needles, butterfly devices, safety needles, and syringes.

Required Experience:
Demonstrated ability to collect blood specimens from diverse age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Capacity to manage a high volume of patients efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills to interact successfully with all departments and clients. Proficient in using computers and keyboards.

Qualifications:

Special Requirements:
Flexibility to meet client needs, which may involve adjusting work hours as necessary. Potential for relocation based on business requirements.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects. Regular lifting and carrying of items weighing between 1 to 15 pounds; occasional lifting of items weighing 16 to 25 pounds; seldom lifting of items weighing 26 to 40 pounds. Objects exceeding 41 pounds should not be lifted without assistance.


Must be capable of sitting or standing for extended periods; requires prolonged eye and hand coordination. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with the dominant hand consistently throughout the day.

Travel may be required.

Frequent use of phone and computer.

Fine motor skills and steadiness with hands.

Ability to engage in talking, walking, balancing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
