About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Direct Observation Unit (DOU), you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, providing exceptional patient care and promoting evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting best practices and improving patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs.
  • Mentor and educate nurses on new technologies, treatments, and protocols, ensuring seamless integration into our care processes.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, contributing to quality initiatives and hospital-wide goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • 2+ years of experience in a critical care or direct observation setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Expertise in critical care nursing, with knowledge of relevant medical procedures and equipment.
