Engaging with consumers at the point of purchase and experience is crucial, with the ultimate aim of enhancing brand recognition and loyalty.

The BAE serves as the face of the Diageo brand, fostering a personal connection that humanizes the brand and builds consumer trust through insightful product knowledge and education. BAEs are entrusted with a diverse array of responsibilities aimed at encouraging consumers to recognize, prefer, and purchase our client brands. Therefore, MKTG seeks friendly, approachable, and professional individuals for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage and educate consumers at various touchpoints of experience, purchase, and consumption.
  • Humanize the brands and cultivate consumer trust through informative interactions.
  • Guide consumers through a sampling journey of featured products, adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Complete digital training modules related to market brands and programs as directed.
  • Utilize technology platforms to gather and input essential information for brand representation.
  • Arrive punctually at events, dressed appropriately as per market team specifications, and prepared to execute promotional activities.
  • Distribute promotional items to consumers.
  • Adhere to Responsible Server Guidelines and report any violations.
  • Pre-merchandise accounts with Diageo point-of-sale materials.
  • Manage bar expenses or product purchases using a company-issued debit card.
  • Receive and manage promotional materials from the Event Team.
  • Ensure proper care and return of company property, including uniforms and event materials.
  • Complete post-event recaps in the MKTG reporting system.
  • Capture digital event photos and contribute to market social media efforts.
  • Understand how Diageo brands differentiate from competitors and report on market activity.
  • Maintain a professional appearance suitable for consumer engagement.
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Brand Knowledge and Representation: BAEs must undergo training to grasp the essence of the brand/program, its values, and how it stands apart from competitors. They should be able to convey brand information to consumers in an engaging manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: BAEs must be outgoing, personable, and courteous, approaching consumers with a friendly demeanor to foster trust in the brand.
  • Reliability: BAEs are expected to arrive at events ready to start on time and remain until the conclusion of the event.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of carrying heavy items as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Meet consumer appeal and client marketing standards.
  • Approachable and capable of engaging consumers effectively.
