What Assembly Contributes to Cardinal Health

The manufacturing division is accountable for production costs and maintenance tasks, which encompass process enhancement, supply chain oversight, quality control, employee safety and engagement, as well as environmental responsibility. This role involves a variety of tasks, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production, assembling component parts into assemblies, sub-assemblies, or finished units, following established operating procedures. Quality inspections may be conducted on the production line to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Job Overview

The Associate II, Assembly is integral to the manufacturing process of Cardinal Health's medical products. This position requires the operation of multiple machines simultaneously and performing routine inspections of manufactured items to ensure they meet quality specifications. The role involves reporting defects and collaborating with the quality team to investigate and identify root causes. It is essential that manufactured components are organized in bins and prepared for transportation. All tasks are performed in alignment with applicable safety protocols and processing standards.

Shift Information

+ 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm - Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate production machinery in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.

+ Measure and document data related to the operation and manufacturing of equipment.

+ Verify outputs during the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality and quantity standards.

+ Inspect components for debris or any potential quality defects and report issues to management and the quality team as necessary.

+ Carry out duties in compliance with all safety regulations mandated by the Company, as well as local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications

+ 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

+ High school diploma or GED preferred.

+ Quickly learn and apply new information and methods relevant to the assigned area.

+ Maintain necessary licenses, training, and certifications.

+ Handle routine assignments that may require some problem-solving.

+ Adhere to all quality guidelines.

+ Work under moderate supervision, with regular output reviews by a lead or supervisor.

+ Refer complex or unusual issues to a supervisor.

Compensation

Pay rate: $15.75 per hour (includes shift differential)
