Role Summary:

As a Pediatric Transport Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to high-acuity patients during inter-facility transport. This includes working with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure continuity of care and safe transport of patients, from infants to adolescents.
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and provide ICU-level nursing care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Organize, coordinate, and prioritize nursing care activities based on patient needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care and coordinate efforts to progress patients toward desired health outcomes.
  • Demonstrate leadership in patient care delivery.
  • Assess the physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients in accordance with professional standards.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure the safe delivery of care.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • Registered Nurse License (RN) in the State of Florida.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in Neonatal or Pediatric critical care or Emergency Department.
Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to handle stressors associated with medical transport, including exposure to various environmental conditions. Candidates must be capable of responding to visual, verbal, and non-verbal commands effectively.
