We are seeking skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) who are passionate about providing high-quality service across various environments, including Emergency Departments, Trauma Units, and Critical Care settings.
Position Overview:
Our Transport program is designed to offer comprehensive care for critically ill patients ranging from infants to adolescents during inter-facility transfers via ambulance or fixed-wing aircraft. Transport Respiratory Therapists (RT) play a crucial role in ensuring seamless care, effective medical management, and the safe transportation of patients.
From monitoring ventilatory and cardiac functions to delivering ICU-level care, RTs collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Neonatal or Pediatric critical care is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' cardiopulmonary systems in accordance with professional standards and institutional protocols.
- Exhibit leadership in patient care delivery.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care and coordinate treatment plans to advance patients toward their health goals.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize respiratory care activities based on patient needs.
- Ensure a safe environment and the secure delivery of care.
- Implement interventions tailored to the specific needs of diverse patient populations.

Certification Requirements:
- Completion of an Accredited Critical Care Program (Required)

- Registered Respiratory Therapist License from the State of Florida
Additional Information:
This position demands critical thinking, effective communication, and decisive judgment, along with the ability to foster positive relationships within a team. The incumbent must demonstrate leadership capabilities and take appropriate actions when necessary.
Physical requirements include the ability to safely secure seat belts and harnesses in transport vehicles without modifications.
Working Conditions:
Physical demands include frequent bending, climbing, lifting, and carrying patients weighing 35 pounds or more. The role also involves significant standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
Exposure to various environmental factors, including biological hazards, requires adherence to safety protocols.
