POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversees the operational functions for the facility, ensuring the efficient blending and packaging of teas and herbs. Manages a dedicated Customer Service Team to enhance the overall experience for customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Directs the Nashville team to manufacture teas and herbs in accordance with the company's cost and quality benchmarks.
  • Fosters a quality-centric mindset and culture for a premium brand, emphasizing lean manufacturing principles to integrate quality from the outset.
  • Minimizes customer complaints and quality-related challenges.
  • Champions change initiatives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, teamwork, transparency, and a focus on both internal and external customers.
  • Works closely with technical teams (Engineering and R&D) to facilitate new innovations and expedite the launch of new products.
  • Enhances operational efficiency and drives outcomes through metrics-based leadership and goal-setting.
  • Improves hiring and retention strategies for hourly employees through comprehensive training programs and collaborative leadership.
  • Provides technical guidance to address packaging challenges with specific teas.
  • Offers coaching and development opportunities for team members to prepare the organization for future leadership needs.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and promotes safe work practices within manufacturing processes.
  • Optimizes lean manufacturing techniques and Statistical Process Controls for effective cost and quality management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven ability to lead a team in collaboration to achieve the strategic objectives of the company.
  • Capability to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the strategic plan and develop actionable plans to meet those objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Access or Excel, with advanced data analysis skills being advantageous.
  • Ability to mentor and develop key leaders, particularly in leadership competencies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Results-oriented and hands-on leadership approach.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • Over 10 years of experience in food and beverage manufacturing with progressive responsibilities.
  • Trained in HACCP and SQF, familiar with certification processes such as Organic and Gluten-Free.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Business-related field.
  • Project management and effective communication skills.
  • Organized, adaptable, and resourceful, capable of handling multiple roles in a smaller company environment.
  • A genuine curiosity to learn about and appreciate premium teas and herbs.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
