Job Summary:

Dialysis Newco, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients with renal failure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
  • Ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control.
  • Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
  • Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
