About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Processor at Merchants Bancorp, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of mortgage loan transactions. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gathering Customer Data: Collect and verify customer information, including financial documents and credit reports.
  • Loan Documentation: Assist the loan officer in gathering and processing loan documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and investor guidelines.
  • Pre-Underwriting and Underwriting: Perform pre-underwriting of investor loans and full underwriting of portfolio loans, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Loan Pipeline Management: Actively monitor and manage the loan pipeline, ensuring that loans are moving along efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with borrowers, loan officers, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of mortgage banking experience in areas of mortgage origination, closing, or processing.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
