The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to residents in our long-term care facility. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver compassionate and individualized care to our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing to evaluate resident status.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and develop care plans to meet their physical and psychosocial needs.
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care provided, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to facility policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and families to provide education and support on prevention and treatment plans.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing board and/or possesses multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
