Pressure Vessel Engineer

As a key member of our Engineering Technology team, you will play a critical role in providing pressure vessel and fixed equipment mechanical engineering consulting services to our global chemical businesses. Your technical expertise will support plant operations and capital projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
**Responsibilities:**
• Provide technical support for post-construction activities, including inspection recommendations, repair and alteration development, and Fitness For Service analysis.
• Design and optimize equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks, to meet the needs of our global operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve timely solutions to business problems, leveraging your knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Piping Codes, API Codes and Standards, and NBIC.
• Manage a high number of simultaneous projects and programs, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion.
• Travel approximately 10-25% to support global operations and projects.
**Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5-15 years of experience in the chemical process or related industries.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Piping Codes, API Codes and Standards, and NBIC.
• Ability to provide post-construction support for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks, including Fitness For Service assessments, repair and alteration plan development, and suitability for service assessments.
• Experience with design, optimization, and best practices for bolted flange joints, including leak tightness criteria.
• Familiarity with engineering software, including COMPRESS, INSPECT, PVElite, Code Calc, PRG suite, NozzlePro, and others.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Involvement in technical societies.
• Knowledge of non-metallic equipment calculation, design, and fabrication in accordance with ASME Section X and ASME RTP-1.
• Experience with specification, design, and application of mechanical components across a wide variety of chemical processes.
