Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs, including conducting and coordinating training, skills assessment, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify and resolve problems, and communicate with other departments and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate on project teams and respond to unplanned situations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems, utilities, and energy management, including preventative maintenance, systems, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of programmable logic control and computer automation theories, software, and hardware.
  • Develop and maintain good computer skills, proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Develop and maintain the ability to read, make, and change schematic diagrams, equipment, and architectural drawings.
  • Develop and maintain the ability to examine and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action.
  • Develop and maintain the ability to effectively convey information to coworkers, supervisors, associates, customers, or outside agencies.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have three years' experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration.
  • Not have an unacceptable drug test result on a Publix or company-sponsored drug test within the previous 12 months.
  • Successfully pass a battery of written tests and a structured interview.
  • Be able to work the required schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
  • Have working knowledge of all processes and related equipment.
  • Have strong analytical, problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and hands-on technical skills.
  • Have good presentation skills and the ability to develop training material.
  • Have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems, utilities, and energy management, including preventative maintenance, systems, and procedures.
  • Have knowledge of programmable logic control and computer automation theories, software, and hardware.
  • Have good computer skills, proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
