Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Outpatient Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations, preparing exam rooms, and assisting radiologists with procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations and prepare exam rooms to ensure a smooth and efficient process
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures as needed
  • Recognize and record anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
  • Care for sonography equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
  • Write reports based on scan results and completion
  • Alert medical staff to any abnormalities that require immediate attention
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Current ARDMS Certification required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required
  • One year of current experience; RDMS (OB/GYN) OR (ABD), Breast experience preferred
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred
  • Competent computer and Microsoft Office skills
