The Role

We're looking for early sales hires to bring Watershed to more companies. As a leading provider of climate solutions, we're at an inflection point where every large company is launching a climate program in response to growing pressure for action. You'll play a critical role in getting those companies on Watershed and helping them achieve their climate goals.

As a founding member of our go-to-market organization, you'll help build the sales playbook, shape Watershed's product strategy, and contribute to building a stellar sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell Watershed: Identify and engage with key decision-makers at leading companies, educate them on effective climate programs, and help them succeed with Watershed.
  • Develop the Watershed sales playbook: Create a repeatable sales process that includes best messaging, organizational navigation, and necessary tools.
  • Expand Watershed into new market segments.
  • Shape Watershed's product strategy by sharing feedback from customers on the front line.
  • Become an expert in climate and educate companies on navigating the world of carbon reduction targets, clean energy, carbon removal, and decarbonizing their supply chain.
  • Help build the sales team.
What We're Looking For:
  • A track record of sales excellence, particularly with enterprise customers (5,000+ employees) at an executive level.
  • 2-3+ years of demonstrated success selling $100,000 to $500,000 deals.
  • A passion for leading from zero to one and building things from scratch.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills, with the ability to listen deeply to customers and help them solve their problems.
  • A willingness to go deep on new domains and become an expert in climate and related fields.
  • A track record of doing whatever it takes to get things done and accomplishing impossible tasks.
  • A desire to join a startup, take ownership of the company's fate, and move at a fast pace.
Compensation and Benefits

We strive to design consistent, fair, and competitive compensation programs. The on-target earnings range may include several levels at Watershed, and the final offer will be determined by a number of factors, including the candidate's skills, capabilities, and location, as well as the scope of the role.

The anticipated on-target earnings is inclusive of base salary + variable commission. Commission at Watershed is uncapped and includes tiers of acceleration with no deceleration in the plans. We offer a non-recoverable draw and ramp quota schedule during a new hire's onboarding period.

The provided compensation detail is in addition to a total rewards benefits package, including equity, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave (includes variable compensation during leave), fertility, and mental health programs, etc.
