**Accountant Job Opportunity in Manchester, VT**

Job Overview

The ALM of New England - Terrace Communities is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Manchester, VT. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of real estate accounting experience and possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Prepare variance analyses on a monthly basis (budget vs. actual)
  • Maintain monthly and year-end audit workpapers
  • Responsible for general ledger account reconciliations (record journal entries, record monthly accruals, etc.)
  • Manage cash balances
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Participate in the budget process
  • Analyze and prepare depreciation and fixed asset schedules on a monthly basis
  • Maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules
  • Review rent rolls for accuracy
  • Review invoice coding for consistency and accuracy of coding

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Property/real estate accounting experience highly desired
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Business Works software a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Motivated and driven to achieve excellence
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and maturity
  • A team player with a positive attitude

Estimated Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year
