About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative to join our esteemed American Cast Iron Pipe Company Sales Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and enhancing market presence by generating new leads and effectively managing our existing client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers at municipalities, engineering firms, contractors, distributors, private utility companies, and water and sewer authorities.
  • Promote and sell our products to water and sewer markets in the assigned territory, conducting promotional calls and specification development with water and sewer authorities and consulting engineering firms.
  • Provide expert consultation on specifications for hydrants, valves, and other products, enhancing personal sales skills through effective communication, negotiation, and presentation techniques.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, coordinate orders, expedite shipments, review and write customer specifications, provide literature, furnish quotes, and address pricing concerns.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to build relationships and work collaboratively with distributors, providing post-sale support for our products in the field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university or 3 years of municipal water works product experience.
  • Ability to live within the assigned territory and travel a minimum of 60% of the time, with more travel required depending on sales territory.
  • Ability to learn and interpret specifications for projects involving our products and exhibit a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
