About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at LaborMax Staffing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance activities in our 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, modify, adjust, and repair mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings or diagrams, including blueprints, schematics, and mechanical renditions.
  • Utilize a variety of power tools, hand tools, gauging and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
  • Improve equipment reliability to minimize downtime, improve efficiencies, and produce a high-quality product to specification in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in purchasing maintenance materials and outside technical services in accordance with established company protocol and procedures.
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of systematic preventative maintenance program with the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
  • Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns, providing corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Monitor parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and cost efficiencies are being met according to the departmental budget.
  • Lead Maintenance related CI (continuous improvement) tasks, reporting back to management with status updates.
  • Facilitate selection of appropriate resources (contractors, suppliers, etc.) to minimize costs and assure on time and on budget completion.
  • Ensure, enforce, and adhere to all legislative requirements.
  • Enhance the motivation and team-spirit of all operation staff.
  • Minimize the risk of accidents and pollution.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and robotics systems.
  • Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in general math skills, including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat) and electric circuits consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Detailed-oriented individual capable of time and project management.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical technology, mechatronics, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years or more experience in a maintenance supervisory position.
  • Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in working with ABB robots, preferred.
  • Some fabrication experience, preferred.
