Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at McCormick Place Convention Center. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in our venue dining areas and concessions functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Food & Beverage Departments, including Stewarding, Culinary, Beverage, Restaurant, and Banquets operations during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.
  • Direct and supervise hourly union F&B staff, ensuring they meet company standards and quality control.
  • Manage inventory controls, maintain quality of food being served, and ensure proper orders for next day have been completed.
  • Inspect food service facilities to ensure equipment and building meet state, local health laws, and internal regulations.
  • Communicate with management regarding employee-related issues and customer concerns.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in supervisory position in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Sales, or related field.
  • Food knowledge, including menu items, services provided, equipment required, and logistical knowledge.
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior experience in a Union environment.
  • Computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
