Position Overview

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is looking for a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Hospitalist team at a leading acute care facility.

Role Responsibilities

The selected candidate will deliver high-quality, cost-efficient medical services to patients. Reporting directly to the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Department, the APP will collaborate with a team of over 200 healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Essential Qualifications
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on inpatient care.
  • Licensure: A valid State of Maine license as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN-C) is mandatory. DEA Number and NCCPA or ANCC certification are required. BLS certification must be obtained within three months of hire, while ACLS certification is preferred within six months.
  • Experience: Previous training and/or experience in inpatient care is essential.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work autonomously, effective time management, and problem-solving capabilities are crucial. Familiarity with healthcare management and hospital environments is expected, along with proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
