As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective medical care to patients, working under the supervision of our Medical Director and reporting directly on clinical issues and activities related to patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality medical care to patients, adhering to established medical protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in inpatient medicine.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program or graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner training program with training in inpatient medicine.
- State of Maine license as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN-C) required.
- DEA Number is required.
- NCCPA or ANCC certification is required.
- BLS is required within 3 months of hire.
- ACLS is preferred within 6 months of hire.
- Training and/or experience in inpatient care required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, effective time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health care management and the hospital care environment.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic medical record systems.
