Rental Sales Representative Job Description

We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Rental Sales Representative new hires, $2,500 is payable after 90-days of employment, and the remaining $2,500 is payable after 180 days of employment.

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental Sales Representative in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote Caterpillar equipment and Allied product rental to all customers and markets in accordance with the policies of Carter Machinery Company, Inc.
  • Affect the rental of all products assigned to the Division's rent-to-rent fleet.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet customer needs and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits and effectively prospect potential new customers.
  • Travel frequently, including overnight or out-of-town trips via car or airplane.
Requirements
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
  • High mechanical aptitude required.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license required.
