Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will lead the monthly accounting processes, including preparing journal entries and related support, reconciliation and review of accounts, and providing coverage during team member absences.

This role reports to the Assistant Controller and works closely with the Company's CFO, Controller, accounting staff, customer service representatives, branch managers, outside vendors, and customers.

The ideal candidate will possess superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills, exhibit goal-oriented behaviors and time management principles, and demonstrate a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly journal entry preparation and documentation
  • Statement review and preparation for management reporting
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Prepare sales tax returns
  • Prepare sales commission reports
  • Identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for improvements in accurately and efficiently measuring, recording, and reporting financial data
  • Special project work includes preparing audit schedules and explanations, commission calculations, US Department of Commerce reports, etc.
