Job Summary

Burdick Materials, a leading provider of construction materials, is seeking a highly skilled Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for preparing quantity estimates, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed quantity estimates for construction projects, taking into account material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project superintendents to monitor progress, update schedules, and review costs.
  • Manage project profit/loss through regular cost reviews and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Oversee the management of awarded projects, including ensuring compliance with safety protocols, creating and updating project schedules, and managing change orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Five+ years of experience in construction estimating and project management, preferably in the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
