Job Summary:

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist is a vital member of our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. This role requires a highly skilled and compassionate individual to develop and implement exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular conditions. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Exercise Science or a related field and certification in Basic Life Support. Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and teach exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular conditions
Assess individual patients' risk factors and provide support and strategies for successful therapeutic lifestyle changes
Design and implement individualized exercise prescriptions in accordance with patient response and physician recommendations
Supervise exercise sessions and monitor patients for inappropriate responses to exercise
Assist with documentation of initial and daily assessment data in Epic

Requirements:

Master's degree in Exercise Science or a related field
Certification in Basic Life Support
Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation (strongly preferred)
