The Residence Director is a key role at Seven Hills Foundation, responsible for ensuring responsive and effective residential supports to individuals with disabilities. This position leads the staff team in creating an atmosphere that prioritizes individual respect, dignity, and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the involvement of each individual in all planning and decision-making processes that impact their lives.
- Ensure staff involvement in recruitment, evaluation, and continued employment.
- Develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) with ongoing revisions as requested by DDS, the individual, or resulting from change or progress.
- Support individuals in managing their finances, including budgeting, banking, and record-keeping.
- Lead the team to accomplish individual and program-specific goals as defined in agency action plans.
- Supervise staff directly and act as a team leader, facilitating innovative problem-solving and showing flexibility in approaches to problems and people.
- Conduct formal job performance evaluations and complete related tasks, including follow-up actions for staff with less than satisfactory job performance.
- Ensure staff support is provided when necessary, including scheduling, overtime approval, and staff training and development.
- Manage and record petty cash and submit monthly reports to the Human Rights Committee and DDS.
- Ensure individuals are supported in developing their talents and interests, including expressing interests or talents in their community and developing satisfying hobbies.
- High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience; BA preferred.
- Proven record of working with and commitment to people with disabilities; demonstrated management abilities; strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy; proficiency preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record.
- Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification preferred.
