We are currently working with a trading house based in South Florida, who are looking to hire a Senior Chartering Manager to their dry bulk trading team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Establish suitable vessels and fix for dry bulk goods globally (coal, petcoke, iron ore, cement, clinker, gypsum, etc.), negotiating with owners, operators and brokers.
* Work closely with the traders and operations team to ensure a smooth trade process and assist with post fixture activities.
* Responsible for creating, maintaining and using models to evaluate and structure freight trades for both paper and physical.
* Actively manage FFA trading contracts to further improve the company's freight trading objectives.
* Assess the feasibility and profitability of time chartering vessels and, when warranted, develop associated charter management plans.

**Key Qualifications and Experience:**

* Minimum of 6 years' experience as a chartering manager or shipbroker fixing dry bulk vessels with in-depth knowledge of market fundamentals.
* Experience and ability to create, maintain and use models to evaluate and structured freight trades.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, organisation and communication skills.
* Experience with active management of FFA trading contracts.
* Located in Miami / Palm Beach County Florida, or happy to relocate to the local area (must have the right to work in the USA).
