Job Summary

AEG is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team at TPC Sugarloaf. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Welcome all arriving players, members, and guests at the assigned station, making them feel welcome and at ease.
  • Escort and Seat all arriving players, members, and guests to their desired dining location, present menus, and inform them of who their server will be.
  • Notify Servers of newly seated tables to ensure prompt service to guests. Maintain constant contact with servers to ensure they are not behind and are able to provide the expected service level to all guests.
  • Assess and Maintain the dining room, ensuring the seating chart is accurate based on open tables.
  • Schedule Reservations and arrange special services for players, members, and guests as requested.
  • Ensure Cleanliness of work stations, including podiums, doorways, and dining room entryways. Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of all Food and Beverage areas.
  • Stock and Inspect menus, ensuring they are current, clean, and in good condition.
  • Bid Farewell to all departing players, members, and guests, thanking them for their visit and inquiring about their experience.
  • Communicate with Supervisors regarding special guests, department heads dining in the restaurant, and member/guest complaints.
  • Attend Pre-Shift Meetings as requested by supervisory staff.
  • Expedite Food and Beverage items as needed, serving only food and beverage items that meet strict standards.
  • Handle Cash and Credit transactions, making accurate change and recording credit cards from guests.
  • Understand and Address members and guests' comments and complaints, forwarding information to supervisors immediately.
  • Ensure Compliance with operating guidelines, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations related to alcohol, cigarette, and tobacco division.
  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance, and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through at least 6 months previous similar experience.
Travel and Work Schedule
  • Travel is not expected for this position.
  • This position requires shifts as necessary based on business levels.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
