As a vital member of the surgical team, the Operating Room Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and effective surgical procedures. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Work Schedule:

Compensation:
A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates, subject to a two-year service commitment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the RN regarding patient status and needs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Document quality control measures accurately in accordance with departmental standards.
- Engage in problem-solving and teamwork to enhance patient care.
- Organize tasks efficiently to prioritize patient safety and care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting or completion of an accredited surgical technician program preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of patients and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond to auditory signals.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in a fast-paced healthcare setting, requiring constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
