Position Overview

The Sales Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of sales transactions within the organization. This role involves a thorough examination of daily sales reports and compliance with established financial protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily reviews of sales documentation, including till reconciliation reports and transaction slips for debit and credit card sales.
  • Submit reconciled daily sales reports to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and verify that all sales transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
  • Ensure all customer signatures on debit and credit card slips are present and legible, matching the settlement reports.
  • Guarantee that cash and check collections are deposited promptly, supported by validated bank deposit slips.
  • Review compliance with all PCF releases from various custodians and prepare liquidation and replenishment reports for managerial review.
  • Investigate discrepancies identified during audits and collaborate with relevant departments for resolution.
  • Issue audit findings to personnel when necessary and prepare reports for managerial approval.
  • Review monthly summaries of cashiers' short and overages.
  • Audit and monitor membership cards and additional income sources.
  • Examine door audit findings for immediate action and resolution.
  • Compile weekly summaries of audit findings to assist departments in enhancing existing controls and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management and have at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in accounting systems and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet preparation is essential. Familiarity with General Ledger software applications is advantageous. Experience in internal or public accounting audits and the retail industry is preferred.
