As a **Quality Engineer**, you will play a crucial role in developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Your responsibilities will include devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. You will design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

You may specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. Certification in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies is preferred.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace
  • Proficient in print reading, interpretation, and part measurement
  • Knowledge of APQP (Control Plans, FAI, FMEA) and other advanced quality tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of geometric design and tolerance (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate quality problems and apply sound technical judgment to develop possible solutions
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and facilitate others in group situations
  • High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution of problems
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • High degree of professionalism
    • Bachelor's Degree in designated Engineering or related field
    • 2-5+ years of experience
    • Possess working knowledge of inspection tools, equipment, methods, and instrumentation (including CMM electronic inspection devices)
    • Ability to interpret and use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
    • 2 + years of FAI experiences
    • 2 + plus year of QA experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace
    • Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements
    • Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • 3 + years of QA experience in composite airframe components and assemblies is a plus
    • A & P license or equivalent training and experience is preferred
    • Knowledge of lean and six sigma methodologies is preferred
