HVAC-R Mechanic

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. As an HVAC-R Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout the company's facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical and pneumatic controls, and other related systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and documentation of maintenance measures and logs.
- Make repairs to air handling equipment, including replacing bearings, belts, pulleys, and air filters.
- Service and maintain rooftop units, split DX systems, and Liebert air conditioning units.
- Use refrigerant recovery equipment when servicing refrigerant-based systems.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of job-related experience.
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification or within 6 months of hire.
- Class A air condition and refrigeration license in the state of practice and completion of accredited courses in air condition and refrigeration.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to interpret and understand blueprints, electrical and pneumatic control schematics, and specifications.
- Analytical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC-R equipment and controls.
- Ability to work and experience working with little or no supervision.
- Ability to properly and safely use all hand tools, including electric and pneumatic power tools, all testing equipment related to HVAC-R troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. The incumbent must be able to crawl, climb, and bend without any restrictions. The normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue, and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
