Job Summary
">The Mental Health Specialist will play a vital role in our residential addiction treatment facility. As a skilled healthcare professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to clients, while also collaborating with other treatment team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
">- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of new and existing clients to determine their medical needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians to implement treatment orders and maintain high standards of client care.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for adverse reactions.
- Supervise LPN staff and participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Engage in crisis intervention when needed and contribute to facility performance assessment and improvement planning.
- Promote client engagement through regular orientation sessions and facilitate smooth transitions between different levels of care.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of client files, adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.
Requirements
">To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
">- A valid Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of records and information, while ensuring seamless collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Proficient in using computer software and willing to learn new systems as required.
