We are looking for a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, supervisors, and members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement partial care programs to enhance community functioning for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Facilitate therapy, coping, activity, and psycho-educational groups to promote social skills and relapse prevention.
- Collaborate with members and staff to accomplish psycho-social goals and tasks of the unit.
- Provide milieu management and crisis intervention as needed.
- Liaise with family, boarding home staff, and local agencies serving the elderly.
- Consult regularly with program psychiatrists and arrange transportation services as required.
- Develop programs, expand services, select supplies, and research new methods and activities with the Program Director and Supervisor.
- Meet expected productivity levels in regard to direct service provision to consumers.
