PRN PT Cardiac CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac CT Technologist to join our esteemed cardiology practice, serving the Dallas and Rockwall areas. Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients, and we are looking for a skilled professional to help us achieve this goal.
The Cardiac CT Technologist is primarily responsible for performing CT examinations in a safe and therapeutic manner. This includes preparing exam rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies, as well as verifying patient identification and physician orders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for obtaining patient history and explaining procedures to patients and families, observing and monitoring patients, and responding to patient questions and concerns.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four to six years' experience in CT imaging and will be self-motivated and directed with regard to an increasing level of understanding and knowledge. They will also be able to demonstrate ethical and professional behaviors at all times, maintain patient confidentiality and privacy, and comply with all HIPAA requirements. Additionally, the candidate will be able to work with patients of all ages, use initiative and independent judgment, and interact effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and external vendors.
The Cardiac CT Technologist will also be responsible for participating in quality and/or process improvement initiatives, documenting and reporting equipment malfunctions and supply item defects, and understanding and accepting the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation. They will also be expected to improve quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images, providing technical assistance, implementing new techniques, equipment, and procedures, and establishing and maintaining a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, practice staff, and physicians.
Responsibilities:
Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Prepares exam rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies.
Verifies patient identification and physician orders.
Obtains patient history and explains procedures to patients and families.
Observes and monitors patients.
Responds to patient questions and concerns.
Provides film/scan critiques as needed.
Cleans and disinfects exam rooms and equipment.
Enters data into the EMR and PACS system.
Participates in quality and/or process improvement initiatives.
Documents and reports equipment malfunctions and supply item defects.
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
Certification by appropriate body (ARRT) and valid Texas Radiological License.
CT certification.
CPR / BLS certification.
Minimum of four to six years' experience in CT imaging.
Self-motivated and directed with regard to an increasing level of understanding and knowledge.
Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional behaviors at all times.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements.
Ability to work with patients of all ages.
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and external vendors.

Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm. No weekends, holidays, or after hours.
