Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Data Privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regional and global laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the global Data Privacy Office to ensure consistency and alignment with global strategies and frameworks.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees, contractors, and third parties on Data Privacy principles and best practices.
  • Conduct data protection risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulators and regulatory agencies in the region.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory developments in Data Privacy and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a life sciences, technology, or manufacturing organization with 3 or more years of operational application of Data Privacy laws.
  • Expertise in Data Privacy laws across the Americas (United States, Canada, South/Latin America).
  • Knowledge of interpreting and applying global Data Privacy laws and regulations, with expertise in those specific to the Americas region.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
