This position enables direct interaction with the transportation team to ensure the effective delivery of products to our stores.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assumes full supervisory authority, including directing daily work activities and ensuring compliance with all company policies
- Implements corrective or disciplinary measures as necessary
- Continuously monitors operations, addressing routing and scheduling challenges, making real-time adjustments to routes and driver assignments in response to emergencies, reporting incidents, ensuring timely deliveries, inspecting vehicles, and overseeing repairs or maintenance
- In summary, manages all departmental operations while on duty
- Utilizes CAMS, Manhattan, and Samsara to fulfill the aforementioned responsibilities
- Performs any additional tasks as assigned by the transportation management team
Experience (Minimum Required):
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must effectively communicate and comprehend company policies and safety regulations to perform job duties satisfactorily
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must adhere to company performance standards, including regular attendance
- Must be able to operate, or learn to operate, the equipment and tools necessary for this role

- Capability to read and interpret maps of the serviced geographic areas
- Problem-solving skills to determine the assignment of available equipment for deliveries
- Ability to counsel and discipline drivers who do not meet productivity standards
- Ability to effectively organize backhauls and routing schedules
This position is conducted in an office setting, involving prolonged periods of sitting while typing on a keyboard and viewing a computer screen.
Shift Hours:
Minimum 8-hour shifts or more based on business needs.
- Job Cycles: Continuous Maximum
- Lift/carry: 25 lbs.
- Stand 15%, Sit 70%, Walk 15%
- Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 25 lbs.
- Max Pull static: 20 lbs.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Team members are expected to understand company policies and procedures as outlined in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook
- Experience (minimum required): At least 5 years in the transportation field and 3 years of outbound/inbound scheduling experience
