About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Designer to join our team in Denver, CO. As a key member of our transportation design team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on multimodal design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work.
  • Use expertise in all steps of completing roadway/highway/multimodal PS&E packages.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Initiate and create project designs and drawings/plans for transportation and/or civil design projects.
  • Lead drafting team for preparation of drawings from early stages of the design to the final contract plans.
  • Understand the importance of review and quality control and able to perform review of design calculations and drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and contribute in the development and implementation of technical approach in projects in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Oversee the work of less experienced designers.
Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience with design software including MicroStation and OpenRoads.
  • Experience designing highway/roadway/multimodal systems in Colorado.
  • Previous design experience on transportation projects including Schematic Development and Preparation of Construction Plans.
