Physician - Primary Care Specialist

CrescentCare is seeking a skilled Physician to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in primary care, with experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of medical conditions. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple patients simultaneously. Additionally, you will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including history and physical examinations, to diagnose and treat patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions
- Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring side effects and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency in internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine, or other specialty service provided by CrescentCare
- Admitting privileges with a hospital directly or a collaborative agreement with a physician who has admitting privileges
- Maintenance of BLS certification and Board Certification in their area of practice
- Current Louisiana Medical Licenses without restrictions
- Ability to work flexible hours and collaborate with a diverse team
