Job Summary

The Hospital and Community Development Specialist develops and implements strategies to increase organ and tissue donation in assigned hospitals. This role requires strong interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and identify barriers to donation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to increase organ and tissue donation
  • Establish positive relationships with hospital personnel to increase organ and tissue referrals
  • Implement initiatives that result in a positive culture of donation at assigned hospitals
  • Represent FLDRN at hospital meetings and facilitate follow-up on all referral and donation activities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the donation process, including AOPO and OPTN/UNOS policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in marketing, sales, or public relations
  • Prior experience in healthcare, organ, eye, or tissue donation, or transplantation preferred
