Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing land acquisition team.
  • Develop and implement a land acquisition strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including development, sales, marketing, construction, and finance teams.
  • Collaborate with division leadership to establish department budget and implement land policy.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance land acquisition efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and administer land acquisition goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Oversee the preparation of information, proforma financial analysis, risk mitigation measures, negotiations, and purchase agreements.
  • Lead land acquisition contract process and monitor contract compliance.
  • Manage teams of consultants, including land planners, civil engineers, landscape architects, and land use attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience in land acquisition/divestiture and development.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions and land acquisitions for a homebuilding company.
