Position Overview:
The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, staff, and management. This role involves responding to requests within the scope of housekeeping duties or notifying the appropriate personnel for further assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with special setups and construction projects as needed.
- Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and common areas.
- Ensure call rooms are cleaned daily, including changing bed linens.
- Stock supplies regularly to maintain availability.
- Conduct terminal cleaning assignments and manage equipment care.
- Maintain cleanliness in housekeeping closets and manage alarms and keys.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires physical activity, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Specific lifting requirements include:
- Up to 10 lbs: Continuously
- Up to 20 lbs: Frequently
- Up to 35 lbs: Occasionally
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to various chemicals and biological materials. Proper protective equipment, such as gloves and goggles, is provided to ensure safety.
